in love with apple

In love with apple
The computer savy population I discovered,  is divided into three groups:
Those who love android
Those who love apple
Those who don’t know the difference and just want something that works!
It is like dog lovers and cat lovers. People usually like one or the other, except for a few strange personalities (off the grid) who love both equally or love all animals or hate all (including human beings).
Android users defend their appliances and applications till they are blue in the face. See the memory my (phone tablet laptop) has , see the speed with which it connects----- etc.
Mac apple users are more likely to remain silent. A product that superior doesn’t need defending!
Having used android lap tops for many years I also want to place on record that they hang, get viruses, crash and suddenly loose all data.
I have never had these problems with my Mac.
I use an iPhone. It is user friendly and does pretty much what I want it to. It has useful apps, it changes time by itself when I travel to different countries,  and I can “face time” and send “imessages” to other iPhone users (read son) free of cost.
Not that iPhone users talk about these thing—by and large  they are a reticent lot!
I purchased the iPhone, macbook air, iPod and an iPad.  Imagine my excitement when the iWatch was announced.
“IWatch?” said my husband “I haven’t even heard of it. Why don’t you buy an Omega?”
The question was not worth answering.
I called my son in the USA. “Order the iWatch PLEASE. I am coming for your wedding in May.”
I reached Iowa full of anticipation. After the customary greetings (the whole family and his fiancée were there) I managed to push him to one side.
“Did you buy it? Did you buy it? Which model did you get?”
“Buy what?” asked my son.
“The iWatch,” I said in a conspiratory whisper.
“No, “ he said “the earliest the will ship it is July and you are leaving in May itself.”
I was very disappointed. (That is putting it mildly). Perhaps I should attain a Zen like state and not care about wordly possessions ---- After all I am in my sixties. I can’t really keep stamping my foot and saying “I want I want!”
I read up all about the iWatch on Google. (The android lovers shot it down).I studied the official Apple tutorials. I watched on YouTube.
My cousin Georgie came for the wedding. Low and behold on his wrist was the iWatch.
“Oh “ I said “How did you get it? I tried but they can’t supply till July.”
“July?” said my cousin, “there is a four to six month wait.”
“I hope to get it on my next visit, “ I said, “can I try it on?”
I was a dream come true. It told time, weather , temperature, phases of the moon had gmail, music, phone calls and messages, calendar, reminders and an exercise app.
At present I go for a run with a Garmin on one wrist, my iPhone in my waist pouch and my iPod. I am totally wired and burdened.
“Look said my cousin, “you can have it. I can always order another one.”
I couldn’t believe my ears.
“How will you get another?”
“I live in the USA anyway. I can order another and wait.”
It is probably a sinful thought but with the iWatch on my wrist  I think I have been in heaven for a few days.
Thank you God and thank you Georgie.
